Permission
During active subscription coverage, including the trial and any applicable payment grace period, we permit your business to play the catalogue supplied through Open Hours as background music at the venue covered by your subscription. This includes the permissions we control in the supplied recordings and any underlying musical works. Your subscription terms identify the country, permitted use and venue/stream allowance. The initial plan covers one venue and one simultaneous stream. This permission is non-exclusive and does not transfer ownership. We do not assert that every AI-generated element qualifies for exclusive copyright.
Scope
Background music means music accompanying the normal operation of your venue, including customer and staff areas. This licence does not include a separate fitness-class, event or hotel guest-room distribution service, broadcast or internet retransmission, resale, music downloads for redistribution, or use in videos or advertising. Such uses require an offer that expressly covers them. The player may make the temporary technical copies necessary to provide the service. No offline or locked-device playback capability is promised by this licence.
Local terms
The country/use conditions supplied with your offer form part of this licence. Our subscription includes our direct catalogue permission; it does not discharge statutory payments or third-party obligations expressly identified in those conditions. This licence is not permission to use music from other services and does not automatically terminate an existing collecting-society agreement. Keep your licence record and contact us if a rights claim concerns music supplied by Open Hours. We will investigate against the shared catalogue records and applicable country conditions.
Subscription
The monthly or annual amount, currency and tax presentation shown at checkout apply. Annual subscriptions are paid upfront. The seven-day trial requires a card; unless cancelled before it ends, the selected subscription payment becomes due. You can cancel at any time to avoid the next renewal. Access continues until the current paid period ends; cancellation during the trial avoids the first subscription payment. The offer provides three days of payment-failure grace.
Refunds
You may request a refund of your first subscription payment within 14 days of that payment by contacting admin@escalera.ai. Renewal payments are not routinely refunded pro rata. This does not affect mandatory rights. A full refund may end the associated subscription coverage; the current coverage status is shown in your account.
Catalogue and records
Stations and recordings may change as the catalogue develops, and an identified defective or disputed recording may be withdrawn. Authorization is maintained centrally across the production catalogue, not through customer approval of individual tracks. Your licence record identifies the purchased terms; its current coverage status determines whether the permission is active. After coverage ends, stop using the service and any copies retained solely for its operation. Existing subscription prices and terms are not silently replaced by a later price book.
